I recently bought a 70 Chevelle and would like to change the wheels and run 15x8, with 4.5 bs, 70 Chevelle SS wheels on all four with 255/60 tires.

It should fit 68-72 GM A bodies:

Also, I have read that people have used different size beauty rings to close the gap between the inside of the rim and the beauty ring. OPGI sells a 3.25 inch beauty ring.

I would like to know if anyone has had any problems running the above listed wheel and tire combination and if anyone has used the OPGI 3.25inch beauty rings.

Other options, no trim rings needed and aluminium. Interested only in 15" wheels.

Here's another option for you. It's the one I went with. I believe it's the same wheel as the SS, just chrome so no need for a trim ring.

To your original question, those ring do NOT fill the gap, and to my

knowledge, no one has invented one that does.

Thanks for the input, after looking at many pics online, now I leaning towards 10in in the back. I have contacted specialty wheels to see if they can make a 5.5 backspace.

Thanks for the information. I have contacted Stockton wheels to see if they can fabricate a trim ring that will fit a 15x8 and a 15x10.

15x7 front, 15x8 rear. I wanted to stay with the size that was on the car already.

Received email from specialty wheels. They do not offer custom back spacing, 5" is the one available on the 10" wheel. Awaiting reply from stockton about trim rings for 10" wheels.

Vintage Wheels said they can make custom back space wheels, $25 extra per wheel, 4-6weeks build time.

Is that all it takes, 4-6 weeks, to have wheels shipped from China?

This is ARTHUR from WHEEL VINTIQUES I got your email and I looked into this and we can make that wheel no problem we would charge you a 25.00 offset fee per wheel to change the backspace on the wheel and would take 4-6 weeks to have them made.

Thanks for all the information, I went with Wheel Vintiques 50 Series 15x7 in the front and 15x8 in the back. Now on to tires.
