New wheels/tires for the 64

Sold my 67 a few months ago to buy a 64-65. Picked up this 64 true SS 2 weeks ago. It Had 17/18 combo, with 225-50/17 up front that rubbed on the rear section of the wheel wells when hitting dips in the road. Rears were 245-45/18 but I wanted a new look.
Started with this-

I wanted 18" all around, but didn't want to spend big bucks on wheels. I went with Rev 110 classic 18x8 (4.5" BS) with 225-40/18 for the front and 18x9 (5" BS) 265-35/18 rears. This is the closest backspacing fit I could find without a high dollar wheel. Fender lips have been cut and smoothed, Stock width 10 bolt, all CPP upper and lower rear arms and springs. I may bring the rear down a little bit more, so far no rubbing issues.

Decent size lips on both front and rear. I didn't want the flat look type wheels

Man it looks fantastic!! Giving me inspiration, I'm so tired of the clapped out bulletholes on my turd.

Looks really good, Joe. At 25.3" tall, a 265/35/18 is a pretty short tire. Next time around, you might consider a 265/40/18 @ 26.3" tall. Just thinking out loud, though.
That's a very nice 64.

Very nice Joe, I just back from Chattanooga Tn. Visiting Rocket Racing Wheel and David Coker, his wheels are very similar to what you have. Thanks for posting sizes, the only difference is I have a 2 drop on the front. Do You think that you have enough clearance for that to work?

I was thinking about that. I was looking at the car profile/side view and they look a little small. I may switch em to 40's.

Thanks man! I have around a 2" drop, I think it'll work. I had the tire guy try 245s and 235s and they rubbed. 225s are about perfect for a dropped set up.

They're 2002 Camaro SS rims, 17x9.5". Thinking someone swapped out the factory rear for a later model as I cannot fit any wheel under the rear without hitting the fender lip. These have so much offset it's not a problem and I can use a small spacer to dial in their position.
