Re: New wheels/tires for the 64

Those tires and wheels look great on that 1964. Good to know for others that may want to do the same. I think the max you can do is like a 5.5 inboard spacing but like you said gets into a high dollar wheel and these look great and tuck in nicely.

5.25-5.5" backspace would be perfect. I'm at the tire shop now swapping the back tires for 40 series. The 35s look a bit to small but don't rub. I did some minor wheelwell mods last night to gain clearance.

Re: New wheels/tires for the 64

Got the tires swapped out from 35s to 40s in the rear. Same width 265/40-18 with no rubbing issues. I like it better as the 35s looked a bit small. Tire shop swapped the tires at no cost, great guys to deal with and earned all of my future business. Here's a few pics.

That'll look really good. I like those SS rims.

They look great with that paint color and the bright trim on your 64.
Awesome choices you have made!
That car definitely is not a red headed step child as sometimes the first generation
body styles get a bad rap.

Thanks! It's always a struggle to get rims and tires. So many choices, price ranges, and tire sizes. Its kinda nerve racking until they're actually mounted.
