YA 1969-70 Wheels

I tried running a search on this, but came up with nothing. In the wheels in the photo graph are listed as "AO" I thought the correct 1969-70 correct SS wheels were stamped "YA" Can somebody shed some light on this?

Re: YA 1969-70 Wheels

YAs generally were used in the 1969 model year, the AOs were generally used in the 1970 Model Year. All have assembly date codes on them by the valve stem hole. Three are November '69 and the fourth is a May '70 -- hardly a matched set.

A grand for a "set" of 4 is far too much money.

Re: YA 1969-70 Wheels

Thanks.

Another ebay post I read they made what I believe is a Bogus claim of "AO" which they stated means LS 6 wheels, which I wasn't buying.

I am getting ready to list a set of "YA";s so I thought I better know what I was selling.

Sold my set to a collector with a real SS who needed correctly coded wheels.
