some things to consider first
1. is the Rearend in the 67 Car now Centered within the Rear of the 67 Car
...... if you take measurements of both ( Dr / Pass ) sides Wheel Wells
2. Disc or Drum Brakes on the 67 Car now
....... as Discs are usually Wider than Drum Brakes
3. Why are you adding +5/16" and +1/4" to the Rear Wheel BS ??
4. Height of 67 Car now at
..... Front from ground at the middle of Fender Hole/Well to underside of the Lip
..... Back from ground at the middle of Fender Hole/Well to underside of the Lip
this will determine how Wide of a Wheel/Tire Combo will fit if you want to lower the Stance of the 67 Car
The Front Wheel/Tire Combo
is a little more difficult in determining
The Front Fender Wells are the tricky ones as you have to check for max turning of the front wheels,
to ensure they donot interfere with tirods/frame etc.
with the current Wheel/Tire on the 67 Car check/measure the Room you have
.... a. from the W/T to the Frame etc when the W/T is at Max Turn
.... b. from the W/T to the Fender Lip when the W/T is straight
do this on BOTH sides of the Car
The Rear Wheel/Tire Combo
Backspace of the mounting Wheel & the Tires Side Wall Width play the biggest part in whether a 8/9/10" Wide Wheel
with a 255 or bigger tire will fit within your cars Fender Wells .
It all depends on the room you have in your car's Rear Wheel Fender Wells on DriverSide & PassengerSide
They can be different from side to side depending on if your rear end is centered or not,
and/or if the outside Rear Fenders have the same curve in them !
By measuring the room you have in your wheel fender wells from the inside of
the outer finder lip to the frame/ inner finder well for width
and the max room from front to back within the fender well as well .
There are other items that can also obstruct your rim & mounted tire,
eg. Rear tire could rub on exhaust pipes/rim could rub on rear lower shock bolt,

1. Stock 69 Rearend ? what is the measured width ??
2. Is Rearend centred ?
3. Width of Fenderwells, from Frame/inside Fender TO inner Lip of outside Fender = ?
4. Height of Fenderwells with max Width = ?
5. Space from outside Fender inner Lip TO Face of Rear Brake Hub = ?
6. Face of Rear Brake Hub TO Frame/inside Fender = ?
7. Side Wall Width of the Tire = ?
8. Diameter Height of Tire = ?
9. Wheel's Width and Back space ??
Just for your info I lowered the Front End of my 67 from
A. 27" Stock Height to 25" okay for straight running but at max/less turn they would rub on Fender Lip that was with
a 7" Wide 15" Dia Wheel with a 3.5" BS with a P205/75R15 TreadWidth 6.25 /SideWallsWidth 8"/ Dia 27.1" Tire
B. Changed the Wheel to a 7" Wide 15" Dia Wheel with a 4.5" BS
with a P205/70R15 TreadWidth 5.59 /SideWallsWidth 8"/ Dia 26.28" Tire
So just by putting on a Wheel with 1" more BS and a Tire that was over .75" not as Tall
I was able to eliminate the Rubbing at Max/Less Turn
