Got 15x10s to fit!!

I read a couple of post on how people said that you can’t fit a 15x10s w 28x11.5/15 et street slick under a chevelle without having some rubbing issues. Well my car already seemed to have some rolling of the quarters. So I gave it a try and they fit like a glove! So happy with how they look👍🏼👍🏼. I found a set of 15x4 weld wheels at super chevy with brand new front runners and went with the cheaper Jegs brand weld wheel knock offs in the back and they look great to me! Just wanted to share this on the page because I was about to return the wheels before I even tried them out, but good thing I didn’t!

I would guess you did not read enough/the right Threads then !

With the correct Back Space on any Width Wheel (8" to 10" Width Wheel) they will fit
especially in a 68 to 72 Chevelle which has wider Wheel Wells than
us 67 and prior Chevelle owners, who have less room in the Wheel Wells

Are those M/T ET Street R Bias-Ply Tire 28 x 11.5R15 # 3554s ?
https://www.jegs.com/i/Mickey-Thomps.../3554/10002/-1
Dia = 27.7" / Tread Width = 8.7" / Section Width = 11"

if so they are not as Wide as the Tires I have on my 67
https://www.jegs.com/i/Mickey-Thomps.../3454/10002/-1
Dia = 27.8" / Tread Width = 10.6" / Section Width = 12.2"
you can see them on my 67 in my Garage in the First Album at the Bottom of the page

I also have the JEGs Sport Stars Wheels on my 67 with the ET Lug Nuts
which provide more support than the Acorn Nuts do

Your car looks great with the Wheel/Tire Combo you have on it

5.5" backspace is what works on 70-72 Chevelles

Re: Got 15x10s to fit!!

10" width with 5.5" BS is about the limit before the rim interferes with the lower shock mount. Probably could just about fit a 295/55-15 MT Drag Radial in there.

Re: Got 15x10s to fit!!

I guess the et streets run a little skinnier which works in my favor. You arenít running extended studs for at the race track?? I would for sure go with those lugs if I didnít have to worry about going with longer studs for at the track. Also hoping my car runs as good as yours does!! Your car looks perfect👌👌

Do the Jegís knockoffs use that same floating steel center section as the Weld Prostars?

Yes I have the Longer Studs for Inspection

I have these ET Lug Nuts that are Open Ended 1/2" 20 Thread
https://www.jegs.com/i/Billet-Specia...99984/10002/-1
they also have 7/16"

Thank you for the kind remarks, but she is not perfect as she is a Driver

NO

they are completely solid and 1 piece

You may need longer Studs for them as they are pretty Thick in the Center
have these on the Front

have these on the Back

Use them at the Track and on the Street and love them as they are under $ 100.us

Thatís good to know. I love the look of the Prostars, but it took me a few months to find a tire shop within 100 miles of me that had the proper lug-centric adapter to balance them. A couple of shops tried the regular hub-centric cone system to balance them and it just would not work. You could see the wheel & tire moving up and down a full 1/4Ē as they spun. Now Iím wanting to pass these Weld wheels on and get a similar set from Jegís.
