2000 k2500 Vortec 5.7 sbc (not an LS!) It’s an old leftover 88-98 style. 198k miles

Friends truck hasn’t ran in 3 months. Said truck wouldn’t start. I tested coil. It’s good. Pulled #1 plug and it was showing a weak yellow spark. Inside the dist cap it was a little chalky with some white crusty stuff but it didn’t look too bad. I changed the distributor cap and rotor and the truck started. He drove it off for 3-4 miles. The next morning it’s not starting again. Fuel pump is running and Schrader valve shoots fuel up to the hood.
Any ideas?

Re: No start

That engine needs fuel pressure at or above the spec or the injectors won't pulse.I think it's 57 PSI but I'm not positive that's the number.I'll try to find it on-line for you.
Find an opening somewhere in the air intake and feed some propane into it, if it runs its a fuel pressure problem.
