Elevated fan?

I put a nailhead V-8 in my 52 Buick. The car had a straight eight in it so there is a massive cross member right under the front of the V-8. The engine is sitting at a perfect 3 degrees lower at the transmission end. But there is no room for an 18 inch fan, it would come in contact with the cross member. Does anyone know of a way to raise the fan above the normal water pump shaft location?

Re: Elevated fan?

Do you absolutely need that large of a fan ? How about electric ?

You might want to ask over on the Team Buick site too https://www.teambuick.com/community/index.php
