I replaced both the brake lines and fuel lines on our 96 Tahoe a few years ago for the same problem. Started with the brake lines and found the fuel lines corroded as well when I removed the fuel tank to replace the brake lines. We lived in Maryland at the time!
Oh yeah, I replaced all that too with my 2002. But that was after hitting a jersey barrier at 40 cuz both front and rear burst and no brake light came on.
Well I'm chillin again. $320 line, 5 hours labor, and $86 freon later. I'll be eating ramen noodles for awhile.. Thanks for all the help and suggestions
