71 chevelle proportioning valve HELP!

Hi guys,

Been sniffing around this awesome site for a while and have my first question! I purchased a pol front brake kit as per bellow link! Now on the 71 the proportioning valve is on the chassis, or is it a distribution block? Is the valve in this kit a direct replacement? I am confused over distribution blocks and proportioning valves! Did the 71 have both in one valve?

Sorry for the newby questions!

Regards
John

Correct, beginning in `71 the separate hold off valve up by the master cylinder was eliminated.

Yes on a 71 it is called a combination valve because the proportioning valve and distribution block are one item.
