Word to the wise... Do one side to completion FIRST ! That way you can refer to the other side during re-assembly !

Re: Drum brake assembly with detail pics

Awesome post Tom! Thanks for taking the time to get such great pics. These just helped me on an issue I was stumped on. I took my brakes apart about 6 months ago and came back to my garage with a bench full of springs.

Re: Drum brake assembly with detail pics

Tom
Great pics. Can you tell me if the emergency brake actuator and any related hardware from an 8 bolt non posi is compatible with a 12 bolt posi?
I have the complete 8 bolt rear but the new 12 bolt doesn't have that hardware.
Any help is appreciated.
Once again great post.

Re: Drum brake assembly with detail pics

Jim I have never heard of an 8 bolt rear. Are you referring to the amount of wheel bolts? If so no the parts do not interchange.

Re: Drum brake assembly with detail pics

Oooops! My bad. I meant 10 bolt.
I was thinking 8 inch but typing what I thought was 10 bolt.
