70 El Camino Disc Brakes on a 66 Chevelle?

I found a guy on craiglsist who is selling the OEM front disc brake setup from his 1970 El Camino that got rear ended.

I have a 66 Malibu that has drums all around, non power. Would his setup work on my car. Is there anything specific I should make sure I get from him besides the basic parts for the brake system? He is asking $200 with spindles. Does that sound like a good deal?

Thanks for your help.

Thats a pretty good deal, but make sure you get EVERYTHING-

Master Cylinder, Proportioning valve off the frame, the hard lines from teh master to the prop, and *** THE "L" brackets off the frame that the rubber lines connect to! ***

and Of course the spindles, dust shields, caliper brackets, calipers & roters

Very important you get these------the disc brake hoses will not fit in the
66 brackets----not even close
