Exclamation The Official "Show us your REAR!" post

Disc brakes, that is.

I thought that the subject line would get you to look and get more responses.

Photos, please link or post photos of your installs!

I am about to convert to full Baer disc brakes. Knowing that I'll have to do some kind of fabrication to allow for a flex hose between the hard axle lines and the rear calipers, I'd like to see what others have done to merge and secure the hard lines on the rear axle tubes, etc. before I conjure up some solution.

Example-The Baer photos show a "generic" package that has "hose clamps". I am assuming that they would be used to offer an additional method to secure the hard lines as mentioned above.

I'm only doing this once and I really don't want to use hose clamps to secure the hard lines if every time someone who takes details seriously looks at the set-up and falls on the floor, laughing so hard their gut is about to explode.

Also would like to get your input on "If I could do it over, I would have...."

Plus anything else that you believe would be helpful to have in a single post that all can refer to down the road.

Things I am already planning:
-New stainless lines using an Inline Tube disc/disc conversion set-up (that will also move the distribution block from the frame to the m/c).
-Braided lines (I think they come with the Baer kits)

In return, I promise to take tons of pictures and add them and my experiences in this post as I do the work.

Thanks to all in advance!

Thanks for the first response Dave! What did you use to fab the line holder brackets? Do you have a template?

Re: The Official "Show us your REAR!" post

Yes, it looks like those brackets did come with the kit. I poked around their site and found the brackets available as accessories. $3.50 a pair is a very fair price to pay not to have to fab them in the garage!

Re: The Official "Show us your REAR!" post

I built a bracket to hold the T, and then welded bolt's to the housing. Then got some of those rubber insulated brake line type clip's from earl's.

Do you have any photos of your brackets and how the final installation fit?
