vacuum booster upper or lower brake pedal hole

I have a 1972 Chevelle ss clone

Just changed the vacume booster to a shiny new one

Does the booster arm go into the upper or lower hole in the brake pedal

Don't remember which way it was when I took it out

Thanks Again
John

Re: vacuum booster upper or lower brake pedal hole

The booster bracket should mount it at an angle that aligns the pedal rod with the lower hole. Have you mounted the booster and is the rod aligned with the lower hole?

Re: vacuum booster upper or lower brake pedal hole

As stated above, the rod goes to the lower hole. Its almost physically impossible to go to the upper hole. The upper hole is for manual brakes with no booster.

Your just jealous because you can't hear the voices!

Re: vacuum booster upper or lower brake pedal hole

Since I've added a hydroboost system, I used the upper hole for a more effortless brake pedal.
