66 rear bouncing a lot

I installed new rear springs in the car, used the old shocks that where on the car. I haven't drove the car yet I just pushed down on it and it seems to be real bouncy. Could it be that the bumpers, seats and spare tire are all not in the car yet. I don't know why it would be bouncing so much is this normal or could it just be the shocks being the problem.

Re: 66 rear bouncing a lot

If it easily bounces it usually means the Shocks need replacing

Re: 66 rear bouncing a lot

Okay I was hoping it was just that and not the rear springs.

Re: 66 rear bouncing a lot

The additional weight of the bumper, spare, and rear seat will make it bounce worse. Need new shocks.
