Universal Joint

Need a recommendation for a rear Universal Joint. 68SS. This is the third one i have had to replace. The first one was orginal the second i dont know what make but failed within 500 miles, ( garage installed did not list make) Need a heavy duty, (squeak the tires once in a while) but mostly a driver. Made in the USA? grease fitting or not? Thanks.

67 Chevelle Malibu SS Cdn
Born 283 / PG / A51
468/TH400 2,500 stall/ S60 3.70 Gs
Prev Best on M/T ET S/S #3454 street Tires/Dress 2018/05/20
60' = 1.664
1/8 = 7.532 et / 91 mph
1/4 = 11.814 et / 115 mph
NEW Best with 3,500+ Stall TC 2019/09/08
60' = 1.547
1/8 = 7.311 et / 91.76 mph
1/4 = 11.595 et / 114.28 mph

why did the first one fail ...lack of grease or broken due to "abuse"? First failure could have damaged parts causing 2nd failure. Or a cheap product was installed and/or not greased. Spicer and Neapco make superior products , both greaseable and non- greaseable . Do a little research with your mechanic.

you also should check your Pinion Angles to make sure they are not the reason you are breaking the U-Joints

as under strong launches if the Angles are off the Driveshaft can be pushed up into the Rear Tunnel Floor
and if the Driveshaft is too Long then it can cause the same in the Front by Bottoming out in the Trans
