Jeep grand Cherokee box rebuild

Having a leaking input shaft seal on my JGC steering box I decided to fix it. Purchased an input shaft seal kit from NAPA part number 7-419. Taking the lock and adjuster nut off end was not a problem. Getting the seal and upper bearing housing is where I made my mistake! I rotated the shaft to push the housing up put of the gear box in turn loosing some of the recirculating balls off the end of the shaft and out of the traveling nut. Found two great posts on the Jeep Forum on disassembly and assembly of the box. NAPA has a complete seal kit for these boxes, part number 7-380.

That is some nice write ups. I love it when people help others that way. Thanks for posting.
