Rotors on 66 chevelle

I just picked up a 66 chevelle for parts. It has disc brakes on the front and I'm trying to figure out what the set up is off of. Hopefully you guys can help me.

Re: Rotors on 66 chevelle

Do you have the calipers too? It looks like a two piece rotor, I think A-bodies went to one piece around 1971.

No calipers unfortunately. Would the single piston calipers and one piece rotors fit these or are they more valuable to someone trying to keep their car "correct"?

Those look like the rotors on my 69
My 70 has one piece rotors.

Several years ago when the 69 needed a rotor, I tried putting a one piece 70 rotor on it and found out that they aren't interchangeable.

I assume the caliper brackets are different, but the spindles are the same, so where was the fitment issue?

Is this set up worth anything without the calipers?

Absolutely! Put them (spindles & all) on eBay and let the auction set the price. Be sure to use the appropriate bait words/acronyms in the listing.

Re: Rotors on 66 chevelle

I ASSUME that the two piece rotors are still hard to find like they were back then.

A friend that had a mechanics shop got me several from a couple of his friend's salvage yards for free. (three different yards)
I gave one to a club member but I still have spares.
