No your existing switch will work. You need one of these to make up the difference in pedal height. It bolts into the top hole on the arm.

Im thinking about getting the Strange PRSA05 S60 rear end.

I'm very pleased with the looks and the fact it's easy to work on and it's supposed to be bulletproof. About $3000 including shipping

The only modification I've done is use a washer to space the caliper inward to center it on the rotor.

I didn't need the 3/16" spacer that most people use on the 12 bolt between the backing plate and axle housing.

How is the axle retained? I have a narrowed Moser 12 bolt with Ford ends for my Nova. Have not yet figured out how to retain the axle bearing using the LS brakes. It was built with the factory 2.75" axle to flange measurement.

here is the description of the housing ends on my S60 :

You can use tapered or ball bearings. I went with tapered since it's a street car

Re: 98-02 Camaro disc brake conv.

Does your bearing slide through the brake assembly or installed before the bearing on the axle?
I have the same ends, retainer and bearing size as you.

The way it's assembled, I think the backing plate goes over the axle (from the inside), then the bearing housing and then the bearing gets pressed on the axle.

Then just slide that assembly into the rear end tube.

The bearing housing is bolted on so you can pull everything out from the ends.

Re: 98-02 Camaro disc brake conv.

Okay I understand how yours is assembled now. I wanted to be able to mount the brake assembly on the end of the housing and then insert the axle.
