Re: Chevy A body - tall spindle vs tall ball joint
I have a variety of stuff recommended mostly by Mark at SC&C. SPC adjustable upper and lower control arms, Howe tall ball joints, UMI lowering springs, Hotchkis sway bars and a JGC steering box. I had the 2" drop spindles but the widened track and drop didn't work well with everything else. Car now looks great and ride and handling are awesome. No track duty just street performance. I haven't personally used them but I hear the SSBC stuff is good and when I looked at it during SEMA it appeared to support that.
Lol, I don't think Marc would recommend the Jeep steering box, haha. He was the one who talked me out of one (at great lengths lol) when I was thinking about getting one.
Marc recommends Lee blueprinted boxes. I have the Lee 14:1 built to Marcs specs with a 30 lb valve.. I can't praise it enough!! (I'm sure the old timers on this board are so tired of me always bring it up LOL)..
