Re: protecto plate

Its attached to the warranty booklet that came with the new car. Its a small metal plate (credit card size) with the owners name, adresss etc. It had the VIN, engine, trans and rear axle source code as well as a few other items like carb source, radio, steering, brake, AC options etc. Once it gone, its gone. Many were kept by the original onwers because it had their names on them.

Re: protecto plate

Metal plate about the size of a credit card attached to warranty book. Dealer would run card each time you brought your car in for service.
