Cowl tag confusion - Chevelle Tech
Tag Team De-coding cowl tags and vin numbers.

Cowl tag confusion

I get some of it, but still not clear on it all.
66-13817 ATL 13346
763-B F-F

W 2MGSR

So its an SS, built in Atlanta. What else do you get from this?

763 is Black Bucket seat interior and the B is a redundant code for Buckets also.
13346 is just internal plant tracking numbers which tell you nothing about the car itself.

FF is the Marina Blue body color

W is an option code within what is called group 1 options and it = Tinted Windshield

2 is Option group # 2 and within that group M is for Powerglide Trans
G is for Console
S is Rear Antenna
R is Rear Speaker

13346- Fisher Body Unit Number
763 B- Black Imitation Leather (Bucket Seats)
FF- Marina Blue (Upper/Lower Body Color)
W- Tinted Windshield (Group 1)
2- Group 2
M- Powerglide Transmission
G- Console
S- Rear Antenna
R- Rear Seat Speaker
