Vin Locations ?

Is there any other place the car is stamped with the vin number ??

I just got a 1970 and half the window vin is rusted away.

On the frame ?

What I have is a shell on the frame, No doors or front clip.

Thank you
Kelly

Welcome, Kelly!

Here is a website that will help: http://www.chevellestuff.com/qd/partial_vin.htm

You may also find the partial VIN on the frame. Maybe under the driver's side area.

Re: Vin Locations ?

Welcome from the Left side of the state. I would check on the firewall under the heater or air box. There is usually a partial VIN under the blower motor.

Re: Vin Locations ?

Might note that nowhere will you find the complete VIN; division, series and model (e.g., 13637) were never stamped, only the partial VINs as shown in the examples.
