Lost Cowl Tag....

Guys,

I just got a 64 SS. The door tag confirms it as such, but the cowl tag is missing. Some idiot alot the life of the car took it off. Is there anything else that can be done to find the build details on the car? It is a factory air car and is a January car so from what I can tell it was also 283 and PG. It is more of a restomod now, but I would like to work on looking for factory orininal parts as time goes along. I would also just like to know more about the car.

Thanks!

I would think it would be very difficult to find an info without the tag. Seems like you already know most of the info that would be on the tag besides the original color. You can get replacement tags for trimtags.com if you know the info thats supposed to be on it.

Okay, thanks for the information. I do know it was a factory red on white. It has been repainted once, but in a bad prep area around the door hing I found factory red paint. The interior was also factory white and has been refinished as such.

Thanks
