"555" on cowl

I recently acquired a low mileage 70 Malibu, and on the fire wall behind the motor in white cranyon is "555". Trying to figure out what this would reference?

I haven't gone looking for the build sheet yet. Hope it is in the car somewhere.

Specifics of the car are, 70 Malibu, 350 2bbl, 350 trans, Misty Turquois, white painted top, black cloth interior.

Any ideas?

Does it match any of the numbers for the car? Trim Tag (aka cowl tag) or the VIN sequence? Looks like the last digit was a 3 and was amended to look as it does.

Re: "555" on cowl

I think the top on the third "5" is actually a continueation from the second "5" and the number is really "553"

Question Re: "555" on cowl

Two tone Misty Turquoise and Classic White sounds pretty. Have a photo?
