Having an electronic ignition MAY affect the tach. What make/model is it?

Re: bought a 2- wire tach please help

the tach is a rotunda I really dont care if it affects the tach I just dont want to affect the electric ignition. If I hook it up is the wort case burning out the tack or making problems for the car? thanks

Re: bought a 2- wire tach please help

These are old tach's that needed to be wired in series with the old points type ignition. They ran between the coil and the points on the negative side of the coil.
I don't think you are goingto get it to work with today's electric ignitions.

Re: bought a 2- wire tach please help

Why take a chance if you do not know where to connect it. Burning out a module will cost you a lot more than an inexpensive tach that is guaranteed to work with your ignition.
