1970 Chevelle VIN #...

Can anyone do a vin check for me on the newest member of my Chevelle Family. Car is a 1970, and here is the vin, 136370L144679. Any information is appreciated......

1968 300 deluxe
15.9 @ 88.0 mph
1968 mailbu (383,th400,12bolt/posi)
13.52 @ 101.84 mph

Decodes as 2 Door Malibu V-8 built at the Van Nuys plant. the VIN DOES NOT tell you if it's an SS or not, only the series and if it is a 6 cylinder or V-8.

Not sure what you mean by "VIN check"

1 - Chevrolet division
36 - series = Malibu, Custom El Camino, Concours, 8 cyl.
37 - body style = 2-Dr. notch back, hardtop coupe.
0 - model year = 1970
L - final assembly plant = Los Angeles/Van Nuys, CA
144679 - basic production numbers (serial #) Starting number 100001/up

Thanks I was just looking for the break down of the Vin, especially where it was assembled, thats what I meant by check. Sorry if there was any confusion.....
