69 chevelle

can you decode this tag for me I have been working on this car for close to 18yrs. Any chance it might be a SS? I was just reading another post on this site today that said the L on lower line could be consider to be a SS. I see this was built in Kansas not Baltimore. THANKS FOR ANY INFO

Not Kansas but Kansas City, MO

Many people think that the L means SS but that has never been proven.

Does it have the original motor?

It did not have a motor in when i got it.I did get a correct 396 325hp motor for it

a few more pics and a pic of my 69 conv I bought the convertible in 1980 for $100.00 and the hardtop for $300 aover 18yrs ago. Hardtop was left in a vacant house in pieces bare frame and body was in the dumptruck ready to be scrapped
