Re: Vin Problem

Welcome to team Chevelle Shirley. The F in your vin designates that the car originally had a 307 cubic inch engine. That would exclude it from being a SS with the Z15 option. The link below is from Chevellestuff which has a ton of information on your car.

Re: Vin Problem

The "C" denotes a base series Chevelle, which also excludes it from being an SS. It should also have exposed wipers instead of the hidden wipers. On the bright side, your car could be a Heavy Chevy. Does it have the domed hood?
One other thing, the 7th character in your v.i.n. is a "1" so the car was built in Canada, and as such can be documented as to how it left the factory by Vintage Vehicle Services. I leave it up to you to decide whether the VVS information package is worth the cost to you.

General Motors of Canada.

If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

That's Vintage Vehicle Services out of Canada, not really GM. VVS just has access to the data.
