Re: 4l80e or t56?

Pace performance offers conversion kits to bolt up older style transmissions to LS engines. I'm bolting up a beefed up rebuilt Muncie to mine. 4 gears are enough for me and how I'm going to use the car. Will only need 3 probably... :-)

Re: 4l80e or t56?

How much power you going to throw at it?

I like the dual OD auto for earth shattering power. But 800hp-ish or less why not row the gears?

I know I'm late here and it looks like manual is the way your going but isn't pro-touring an attempt to add new technology? The epitome of race technology (F1) and many supercars use paddle shifters! You wanna cruise, leave it in automatic; you wanna go through the gears...shift F1 style! ;-)

Re: 4l80e or t56?

Not for nothing, given another chance, my 2014 ZL1 would have an auto in it. I have broken that TR6060 three times in less than 3000 miles.

Couple of junkers and a few clunkers.

Re: 4l80e or t56?

Youll be happy with it, lots of options for the slave setup they dont cost much

Do what you got to do so it fits, it will be worth it, did my conversion in the late 90s before all these parts were out;really gave it more usage and personality
