Re: 67 off frame progress

Looking good! I like the way the back sits over the rear wheels, it's just right. Once you get the hood and the front bumper bolted on maybe that will weigh it down a little more.

Re: 67 off frame progress

Thanks guys! I think if I lower the front another inch or so I'm going to lower the rear another inch too. I want to try and keep it as level as i can. But like Bryan said I still have some weigh to add, hood, bumper and brackets and all the interior.

Thanks again,
Brian

I agree ^ looks badass. As for the OP's car, get it together and drive it for a bit before deciding. It may settle a bit, and you may like the way it rides. There is a lot to not worrying about hitting every parking curb stop, and hitting the crown of the road with your crossmember.

The car is painted and the complete drive line is done, dash is in but has to come back out for final wire routing. I just got the inside tops of the doors painted black and starting on the windows now. I still have to fit the trunk (I finally found a factory GM) and final sand and paint the hood. All interior needs added and some final wiring completed but its getting there.

What paint did you use in the engine bay?

The paint in the engine bay is a Sikkens product. I believe it was called Hot Rod Black but they dont make it anymore.

It’s still available by SEMs. There is also a UV adjustable clear for it to.

Yeah, I just saw that. The op says his was Sikkens, so, you're saying it's the same product? I realize there are several manufactures that make a Hot Rod black, I just like the way this one looks, so, I'd like to grab the same exact product, if possible. I see O'Reilly's carries it. For my own curiosity I may try to find a local store that has it in stock.
