Re: 68 chevelle, getting close

I am excited to actually drive it instead of "talk" about it. I feel like all I have done is talk about this car im building. People probably think I am full of it. Oh, that's the guy that talks about his make believe car.....

So awesome. I myself am getting towards the end of the tunnel on my '68. About the same time frame as yours it sounds like. It's getting tougher by the day waiting for it to be completed.

You only have assembly left? What pieces are you missing?

Re: 68 chevelle, getting close

Yes, I know what you mean about "That guy that only talks about his car" and nobody ever sees it. I missed to 60th El Camino Anniversary last fall because of a transmission cooler leak. I thought I was about to miss the "El Caminos On The River Show" in Lafayette, LA because of a family commitment but that car show and the Belton, TX EC show have both been postponed. Up til now since getting it all roadworthy a year ago, I've only been able to do local shows.

But this will all clear up soon enough.

Congratulations! If you did it in one year, you're a rock star! Mine took three and many take longer. Besides, when you crank it up, all the naysayers will suddenly go quiet. Have fun!

Re: 68 chevelle, getting close

Congratulations, looks great and the lines look awesome. Hopefully I can get my new top installed during this shutdown and then I can join the ranks of the finished 68's.
