Re: Jeff 's 68 Chevelle 300 - Build Update!

Well after a month long fiasco with my 12 bolt I am finally moving forward with my project. Got the 4-speed tunnel welded in and seam sealed. Used some epoxy primer to paint the parts of the floor that needed it. Installed the factory style sound deadner and put the rubber mat and the rest of the interior back in. I have a 4-speed car now and I must say it looks like it came factory with a 4-speed. I was worried that the rubber mat would not want to fit over the hump but it went back in nicely! Going to make sure that all works OK then pull the motor. Seeing the light.

Thanks everyone. I have pulled the motor. Just going to ring and bearing the bottom end as it all looks nice (58,500 miles on car and engine) then put my "hot rod" top end on. Got the block honed and if it ever stops raining we can get going again. Here is my Edlebrock C3BX manifold with new air cleaner and Accel coil. Chomping at the bit!!!!

Re: Jeff 's 68 Chevelle 300 - Build Update!

Motor is finally coming together. Almost have a full long block now. Check out my aluminum heads. JUST KIDDING. Just not painted yet. These are my camel back heads (462 casting) with Z28 springs and new valves (1.92). Motor got new rings and bearings. Hope it doesn't blow up.
