Arrow 1967 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Nantucket Blue

This Chevelle is the latest build project in our shop! So excited to get started on what should be a great experience in the "Chevelle Ring".
This car started life in Virginia, then on to Myrtle Beach SC and finally ended up in Chalmers, Indiana.
A Nantucket Blue 1967 300 Deluxe 2 door, 283 V8 is one of 2401 produced for the US market in 1967.
Plans for now are to get her back to her glory days...New interior, freshen up the engine bay, new Pypes Performance 2 1/2" stainless exhaust, and finally a new coat of Nantucket Blue paint.
Beyond all this...not real sure...time will tell.
Thanks for the add. So excited to get her under way!

Re: 1967 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Nantucket Blue

Getting things around on the 300. Removed all the stainless front end along with all the badges and bumpers. Ordered all new. Some are coming in and after I cut & buffed her paint, I'll begin her transformation.
Also removed all the interior. My plan is to order a complete kit for her.

Re: 1967 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Nantucket Blue

If you're ordering a complete interior kit for it, does that mean you're going to a Malibu interior? A 300 Deluxe with its original stock interior is way cooler IMO. Is your current interior in disrepair?

Did you remove the original rubber floor coverings? I'd be interested in those if you plan on selling them.

Good looking clean car to start with.

IMHO, you should restore that trim instead of ordering the new stuff.

The repops don't compare to the OEM pieces, in my opinion.

Thanks Guys for your comments and your opinions regarding the interior. I have posted a few shots of the interior. I have been in contact with Osborn Auto & Trim, LLC in Logansport, Indiana on restoring the original. Not real sure I want to go that path...
As far as the original seat covers and door panels...The seat covers are about 2/3 there and not real bad shape as they had covers on them when I bought the car. the drivers lower bench seat is completely gone. I'm satisfied you could build one from the back seat cover, that is IF you could find someone that has the GM clearance to purchase and construct the original material...Jon Osborn maintains he has just that right and has access to the material.
As far as the original floor covering...the only piece I have found was tucked up under the drivers side kick panel...black with blue accents...

Re: 1967 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Nantucket Blue

I actually have a complete set of factory door panels from the '67 300 that I restomodded. My car was originally the same color combo, Nantucket Blue with a light blue interior. The 300 door panels are slightly different from the 300 Deluxe panels as they don't have those darker blue sections in the center.

The fronts are in great shape. The rears have a little wear, mostly on the bottoms where they won't be seen. If you're interested, I'd make you a really nice deal.

Re: 1967 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Nantucket Blue

I am looking to replace the trim under each side's tail lights...Anyone have an idea where I might obtain new ones or at least good used?
Remember, This car is a 300 Deluxe....
Thanks...

Re: 1967 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Nantucket Blue

A friend of mine has a low mile 67 300 deluxe that has the same interior colors as your car. The cloth in one of his front seat back rest was bad. He found the exact cloth ( I believe on the west coast) and had an upholstery shop repair it. A shop should be able to replicate you original covers.

He probably bought the material from SMS in Oregon. They carry NOS fabric of many models from 30s to the 70s.

Thanks...

NOS corner moldings show up on ebay from time to time. Just need to keep checking regularly.
