Supercharged LS Question

I may have an opportunity to pick up an LSX with a whipple Supercharger for a steal. I am trying to figure out if this would fit under a factory hood. Does anyone have any photos of one or know if it will fit? I assume it won't, but I figure someone here has to have seen one in a 70-72 before.

Even though the motor would be cheap once I factor in new hood, paint, tank, fuel line, etc it may get to be out of my range, but it is worth looking into.

Re: Supercharged LS Question

Not a 70-72 but a TVS2300 Maggie will fit under the hood of a '67. I would believe you have more room due to the shape of the hood and inner bracing on a 70-72. I ended up using the holley rear biased mounts to get a little extra clearance.

Awesome. That looks like a very tight squeeze.

Re: Supercharged LS Question

The mounts you choose will also dictate how much hood clearance you have. The Holley/Hooker mounts will allow the engine to sit lower than most other adapter plates.
