Gen V LT1 swap, 71 Chevelle

Hey guys, I know this is the LS swap area but I've sold my LS and am in the process of putting a 2016 LT1 in my Chevelle in its place. The build thread is over on ls1tech, but I thought a few people here might be interested. Rather than duplicate everything here (because I hate the way photos are handled here) I'll just post a link, but since not everyone here is a member there, if there are any questions or thoughts posted posted here I'll do my best to address them both here and there.

The cliff notes version so far is bought motor, have accessories addressed, waiting for cam and clutch to arrive.

That would be the engine I would build if I got rid of my big block... Those lt1s are awesome compared to the LS3s for torque.

Yeah I think it's going to be cool, I just got my clutch in today so that's one less thing to worry about, just waiting on the cam and head gaskets now (TSP said they'd make me an EL-C7 cam with the 10% fuel lobe instead of the 32%, but it might take longer). Have to send the computer out as well to get retuned, which is kind of a bummer but sort of goes with the territory I guess.

Maybe I missed it, but what was wrong with your Gen3/4 and what put you over to go with a Gen5 motor?

Nothing that I know of. I just got a good deal on the LT1 and can't really afford a second project at the moment. I would've about broken even on the whole LS to LT thing except for the clutch costing so much (and I decided to go ahead and put in new cam).

Got it, tough to pass up a good deal on an upgrade.
Probably the same reason i have a garage full of spare Junkyard parts i'll never use.
What's your plan for wiring and PCM?

PSI harness, stock ECM that I'm about to send to mailordertuner to have matched to my cam. He did/does TSP's tuning stuff so he knows the deal.
