'64 Elco with turn signal problem/tilt wheel

The right rear turn signal and brake light have stopped working on my '64 El Camino. Bulb is good, ground is good. The truck has a tilt wheel so it has the turn signal switch mounted on the outside of the steering column with cable going up to the turn signal lever. Switch looks to be OK but could have worn or broken contacts. Are there any connectors on the way up from the tail light that could have an open connection? Anybody been through this? Thanks

Do you have a trailer receptacle? Sometimes the splice for the trailer connection corrodes if not sealed properly.

Hi Ed, Thanks for commenting. I found the problem, a bad connection in the bulb socket. Now I need to change the tilt wheel turn signal switch. Looks like quite a tough place to get to. Thanks again, Clyde

If it's got buckets, take the driver's seat out, gives a lot more room!!
