Did they make a tilt steering column for a 1964 chevelle? If so, how many were produced? Would it fit a 1965 Chevelle?

You could get a tilt column on U.S.-built Chevelle right from the start. They didn't go into Canadian Chevelles before 1968 models. I'm not speaking from experience, but a '64 column should probably fit a '65 model because they are really the same dashes, except for the guages appearing to be a little more deepset on the '65s due to the facia sloping out towards the center (done to reduce glare from the gauges onto the windshield at night). The jacket is different on the '66 models as is the dash. Of course in '67 they went with an energy absorbing collapsable column.
Sorry, I don't have the '64 tilt production figures.

Yes, they offered a tilt steering column on the 1964 Chevelle.
3,646 cars had it. Less than 1%. RPO N33
I have one.
A friend told me the other day that he had one and sold it for $500. Then he said the guy who bought it told him he could have got $1000 for it on eBay. I'm not so sure that is true, but I do remember seeing one go for about $600.

Just lost the Bid on ebay for one. It went for $333.00. I might have pushed it higher if I was really wanting it.

You can also get aftermarket tilts. It depends on how priginal you want to be. Try looking at the Billet repops.

Here's a couple of links I found.
