Wet plugs

Hi! Today I pulled my plugs on my 496 and discovered that a few of the plugs where wet with fuel. I have a quickfuel brawler 950 with the floats adjusted halfway up the sight glasses. Any ideas of what could cause this?

Re: Wet plugs

Going to need a lot more info, could be a number of reasons, rings, ignition system, fuel system, etc.

It was after a pretty long drive. It has a mechanical holley pump, pertronix ignition box. Motor was built 2 years ago and has maybe 50 passes on it and some highway cruising. Could the floats be to high? Shouldn't there be oil if it was the rings?

Re: Wet plugs

Which plugs were wet? Are you positive it's fuel? Any smoke out the exhaust pipes on cold start?

Yeah, it's fuel. Different plugs everytime, really weird. It smokes of unburnt fuel on cold starts, but I have a really large cam so that is to be expected I guess?
