Blinkers and brake lights won’t work

Wondering if anyone would know why the blinkers and brake lights stopped working on a 68 396 that used to have a small block 327. The flasher works and every time we put a fuse in for the blinkers it blows. Everything was working fine until we put in the big block and different steering wheel.

Re: Blinkers and brake lights won’t work

Sounds like a problem with the turn signal switch or the steering column connector.

I think "and different steering wheel" are the key. Engine and body wiring don't interact that much.
You need some basic electrical and wiring concepts. That you can troubleshoot w/ a DVM.
