14015442 block casting number?

Hey guys, I am inquiring about a TBI 454 that is for sale in another town far from me. I asked the guy about the block casting number and he came back with 14015442. That number does not come up in a Google search and I am guessing the guy got the last digit wrong, but there are two other numbers that are very similar. One is the 14015445 that we all know and love, and the other is 14015443. Does anybody know about the 14015443 block? Is it the same as the 14015445 or completely different? Has anybody heard of a 14015442 block?

Unfortunately, the guy could not see any serial number stampings on it and that is a bummer because it might mean it has been decked at some point rather than being a virgin, but then the number is located under the A/C pump and maybe he couldn't be fagged looking?

Re: 14015442 block casting number?

MORTEC shows a 14015443 to be a 454, either 2 or 4 bolt mains, build '87 - '90. It also has a blurb that says they were used in motorhomes and trucks. If he doesn't chime in, you might ping Mark Jones (VortecPro), he should be able to tell you if it's a casting number he's familiar with and what his expereince with 'em is.

Try on the front of the block ,above the timing chain cover.
