Re: Drag Only Chevelle Build

It's starting to look like a race car! Cool project Mac. I only did 1 of these years ago; it was a V-8 Vega. I did my own custom suspension front & back. Will never do that again. My hat is off to you!

Also- Most people don't appreciate a man and his JD. It is a friend that will do whatever you ask, doesn't talk back and will never leave you.

Building more of a race car than driver but driving it more than I race. "simple old school shake, rattle & roll".

Re: Drag Only Chevelle Build

Thanks for the compliments and replies fellas, yeah the "lets build a tube chassis race car" from the ground up is a novel idea, but damn, I spent hours figuring this and that, this angle and that angle, this length and that, then when figured out takes about 15 minutes to cut, grind, fit, grind and weld in place, MOST all of that is done now, on chassis, don't know what were gonna get into on sheet metal work, have 40" tubs out in shop also, will install them after we de-rust and seal and paint inside of body and attach to chassis. Its a learning curve for sure . Like others have said, don't know if we will ever do it again...........................yeah we probably would, heck the next one should be a bbrreeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzee
