Re: Drag Only Chevelle Build

We made it to Sanger a couple weeks ago, car went 6.15, 13, 14, 15, AND we finally got to shoot it, went 1.22/5.63 @121.99 on a 150 shot with 5* timing pulled out, crew chief and myself are hooked now, got more stuff comming from NX.

Ran at ardmore last weekend and the little home built Chevelle, ran 3- 5.70x's back to back to back, after that it went south, ran out of nitrous and could not get lap top to communicate with box to step timing back up, still went a couple rounds, ran 6.23x's with only 25* timing locked out, had fun and didn't tear anything up.
Also with the nitrous the newly re stalled converter is too loose, flashes to 71=72 , falls to 68 and crosses about 75, should have left it alone as it probably would have been perfect with the 150 sot, just gonna order another one just like it was before and keep this one for a spare.
Looking at going to Noble this comming weekend but extended weather forecast says we ain't gonna race, but hey it's Oklahoma, ya never know !

Mine went 5.63 with a 1.21 60' time as well. I was just over 121 in the 1/8 mph.

1/4 mile 8.87 at 151.

Why is it we never have time or money to do it the right way in the beginning but we always have time and money to do it over again?

We are contemplating going to Tulsa next Saturday, I think they run 1/4 mile up there, that's the closest race to us for a few weeks and it's a 200 mile drive, kinda got spoiled with home track 35 miles away and two more within 90 miles. We have been wanting to run some 1/4 mile stuff as well, our track owner is putting on an 8.90 event later this year at Thunder Valley in Noble Ok., shutdown at Ardmore is a little short for the 1/4 mile speeds nowadays.
