They were on a calibrated flow bench operated by a reputable shop. My Mexican castings flowed that much (we only checked one cylinder). Maybe not all Mexico heads are created equal?

The GM Hot cam would not suit your build.
Look at the cam they use in the ZZ383 it would be better.

Camshaft lift (in): .509 intake / .528 exhaust
Camshaft duration (@.050 in): 222'c1 intake / 230'c1 exhaust

I would use a 3000 stall and a Holley 750 Street HP

Dave
dont think its going to be 450 with that set up. iv got 383 with 11 to 1 comp, 555 lift 306 dur cam, dart pro1 heads 200 cc, victor jr and 850 holly only putting out 425 at flywheel

CC The intake runners and you will find they are around 158/159 and they will not flow 227 CFM and every one of the Mexican castings I have seen have small runners.

Even the non- Mexican 170 runner heads did not flow 227 CFM from what I have seen !!!

Calibrated to what !!!
