Looks good, if you get it running respectable times are you planning on going to Michigan in September 2014?

I wish. Returning to school for a career change and buying another car has me extremely tapped out. I keep saying "next year", and it never seems to work out. I'm just going to focus on getting everything right with the car this year. Then when the planets align, I'll load it on my trailer and make it to a race finally.

Your car will run better then you expect. You might find shifting at 5700 is just right for 6200. Anyway, the combination will tell you what it likes after you hit the track. Don't put yourself in a box. Experiment with launches and shifts. Understand your trans/gear ratios as 3rd gear might like a 6000 rpm shift and your 1/2 likes 5900.

Thanks Jim, I credit you and a few others for helping me stay on track with this project. I've been close to throwing in the towel more than once. I plan to start a log book detailing every track outing. It's a habit I've had with every car I have ever raced. I like to record DA, tire pressure, shift points, etc. To my friends it seems OCD, but has always worked for me.

Well, looks like I found the nudge I needed... camshaft change added to my list. I will pick up intake and timing cover gaskets this week. I have everything else.

Re: Any Factory Stock or PSMCDR racers here?

A looooooonnggg overdue update...

Let us just say that life happens. And that I decided on a color change - that opened a can of worms. Been fixing a bunch of shoddy work done by a "pro" when my father owned it. An inexperienced 39 yr old kid and his half blind 68 yr old father got it done better. (Me and my father) Got some color on the car today finally, jambing in everything so that I can hang it back together and spray the main body.

Pictures...
