Sold the motor to one of my workers. Ordered some AFR heads/cam/lifters from Mike for the 454HO. Now it will realy have the HO

Curt Wasson ran stock 340 horse short blocks under a blower with a two-hole Hilborn. They would run in the 10's on gas. We could buy 110 octane at the pumps back then. This was the only car I ever saw that left the ground completely on launch. It leaped forward like a large frog. His Corvette weighed 3000 pounds. Curtis put on some of the best shows ever seen; right up there with Jungle Jim, Willie Borscht, and Tommy Ivo. Some people in this area still say if you never saw Curtis, you never saw racing. 8.6, 160 mph, nitro, and a 4 speed, usually geared in the high 5's or low 6's. With only 327 cubes.

Yes, you can run 10:1, and put on a great show until it blows.
