Finally got to the tens...

Just barely, but still made it. [email protected] Ran a [email protected] on motor earlier that evening.

Previous best nitrous pass this year was [email protected] I think. A/f was 11.5. Progressive was set to 1.5 sec.

This week changed the fuel pressure down to 5psi from 5.5 and pulled 2* more timing for a total of 6*. So 32* total timing. Left the progressive set at 1.5.

Car hooked which caught me by surprise, almost forgot about shifting. Haha. Went to the track by myself and a buddy was there but no video. Track was good late on a Friday for a change.

A/f was 12.0 this time. Drop the fuel jet some and see about cleaning up the tune the rest of the way. Jetting now is 53n 47f.

Pretty fun nite, and didnt even break anything for once.

Thanks Bob! Looks pretty similar timewise.

NOS says that using a 47n and 53f jetting is 100hp...as rich as it was when I tried that (10.0) not sure...on the wheel dyno it went from 335 on motor to 462 with the 47/53 jetting with the 53n I'm thinking its more like 125. Still trying to figure out how much to drop the fuel jet...45 or 43?

I was shocked to see the timeslip, thought it felt like a good pass. Just kept thinking, it hooked and the a/f was good going down the track and nothing blew up, hahaha...First clean nitrous pass I've made. Pretty fun!!

Good job, doesnít matter by how much you made it, you got in there. Now only thing to do is go deeper into the 10ís!

Thanks Ray, nice to finally hit it. Lotsa help from lots of people on here!

Im thinking when I can turn the progressive to come in a bit quicker that should pick up alittle. Maybe can squeek out another tenth or two before going to the .63 nitrous jet.

Re: Finally got to the tens...

Nice job George. Imagine if you'd got the 421 built. Oh the LS will fly too when you get it in.

Thanks Jim! I still have the heads and intake on the shelf if the LS doesn't pan out, and some bbc stuff if I can ever get it back from the machine shop...I'm sure the 421 would be pretty stout. Maybe someday....

the LS is done and sitting in the garage waiting kind of patiently.....and the whole build was about what I have in the profiler top end....
