Idle clip 383 solid roller

Not the best quality just fooling with a go pro...gizmo challenged.

Will get some better ones when I have more time and can edit. Lifes too short to park these guys.
who says ya cant run a big cam on the street?

When it hits 200 (fan comes on) you can tell idle lowers some, then back up once it hits 185ish. Good ol ethanol.

Dynomax Ultraflows, 3" w/X if it matters.

Re: Idle clip 383 solid roller

Sounds nice! I love the sound of a solid roller!
Mine was a 262/269 at .050 on 110.
Drove it everywhere.
Same exhaust too!

That 406 is in my sons 67 C10 with a m20.
He loves it as much as I did!
That build is at least 9yrs old now.

Re: Idle clip 383 solid roller

Thanks..still needs a timing light thrown on it, little stuff its been sitting til recently (long time)
Nowhere to open it up...yet. Need to figure out how to muffle wind noise, have a tailgate mount but gets drowned out .
Its actually mild as far as solids go. Guess Ill never grow up and build something that makes sense. No wipers. AC gone and it will stay like that probably

Re: Idle clip 383 solid roller

260/268...have to look at the cam card for adv....294/302 or 296/304, cant remember. Had Ron at Isky grind it for me,very simialar to their old 294(6?)R grind. I missed the cam gear selection so its billet...seems to play Ok with the Lunati everwear gear but wouldnt overlook that again.
Gas is old so just puzzyfooted it today;in a way intentionally to show you can run something not so small and not be soggy, bucking jerking etc. Manners are pretty good for what it is
Still havent locked the dist out...a little timing would make it real happy. DMH thanks for everything last yr.

Mike that cam should work great for a street/strip 406. Should peak around 6300-6500 RPM in a 406 with a 210-220 cc head.

Agree that 400 will be a blast. LAst one I drove was many yrs ago old brodix heads, big HFT the torque was endless.
Edit: Aukai, really wanted to stand on it just cant on those roads with real old gas, no "tune" etc. I will though!
