looks like im done with comp cams gold, its the second time its happened, anyone else having problems with this? and what other one (brand) would you recommend? thinking of going with steel instead if aluminum

2nd time? Check your piston to valve clearances, retainer to seal, coil bind, geometry, retainer to rocker etc etc

If its second time check what other suggested, quality rockers shouldnt brake like that.
I like crower Stainless Steel endurance roller rockers or comp chrome moly steel pro magnum.
Dont the comps have lifetime warranty?

Yeah that's binding, did you cut down the top of the valve guide any?

have to check on length and diameter, motor was put together years ago, and springs were upgraded to match cam lift

I'm with Marcus, I think Crower is about the only vendor left making their own stuff here in the USA. Maybe Harland Sharp, But personally, (IMO) they're not in the same category as Crower. I think the nice shaft setup like T&D and Jesel are still from here in the US. Pricing tells the story right away.

Javier, how much lift and valve spring on that deal? Were all the clearances checked, like retainer to guide/seal? is the rocker damaged by contacting the retainer at all?

A post in this thread is reported as vendor bashing but I don't see it that way. it was #2 by Chris. I don't see that as bashing.

need to look for cam card, but lift is 700 plus, springs were upgraded for this lift, and rocker isn't contacting retainer, will check retainer to guide and coil bind
