Re: Oliver's Tunnel Ram 467 Build

We started assembly on this engine, we ended up cutting the domes down to lower compression, we actually ended up with 11.5 after more chamber work. Our cam is .595 net lift with a 265/270 @ .050 duration on a 108, Rollmaster timing set, should work fine for driving to the track. We used the Scat 6.385 rods with a Mahle piston set at zero deck. Our oil pan is a Moroso 20401 with a Melling M77 oil pump.

Re: Oliver's Tunnel Ram 467 Build

Interesting Mark, notice you didn't stud the mains. I've always thought on a performance build main studs are the way to go on a 2 bolt block.

Re: Oliver's Tunnel Ram 467 Build

Sometimes there are pans which will not accommodate main studs thus the use of bolts.

I'm confused. You have two Elco's? I thought this was going in the strip build?

And here is a first dyno sheet , it still needs some fine tuning but results are impressive : 729 Hp at 6700 !!!!!

Maybe Mark will chime in and say something about it

Re: Oliver's Tunnel Ram 467 Build

Curious about that dyno water pump - is it a regular pump with an external electric motor mounted on it?

Look at the afr numbers. If those are correct there is a lot more to come when the carbs are jetted to bring that into the 12.5-13 range!
